If you have a very long URL and it’s really inconvenient for your posting in emails or status post, you could always choose to shorten the URL by using TinyURL.
TinyURL is a good option to turn your long URL to a shorter URL and it will not break in email postings and never expires.

Before I go further, let me do some introduction about my new website. This is my brand new “one page only” website which the title is “Babymoon Travelling Information Guides”. Many of you know that my I named my two year old daughter “Baby Moon” and I found that “babymoon” has a wonderful meaning.
Babymoon – a vacation taken by couple that is expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together. The main objective for Babymoon Travelling is to let parents have a relaxing and enjoyabe time while awaiting for the newborn.
I am about to finish writing a book on Babymoon Travelling, but to provide good valuable information to those who wishes to travel a babymoon holidays, I have this new website seeking your help to Share your knowledge, ideas as well as experiences you think should be in my book.
I published my website on 17th November and the next day it has get indexed by Google and ranked in first page. Last night I have submitted videos to youtube and my website get rank #1 today (22 Nov 2008).

I would tell you that there is no secret, what I have done is very simple – Social Bookmarking! I have only done Social Bookmarking and please do not doubt about my answer. I have submitted my website to many social bookmarking sites and this is the result.
What’s my result of get rank within #20 of organic keywords search? I think you should know the answer – TRAFFIC! I get more than 200 visitors in one day right after my babymoon travelling website was published.

What is your ads rank number? Rank number for your ad is the position that your ad would be shown at the search result.
For example, the search result for “seo”, the ad with the very high position are “Professional SEO Solution”, “SEO Workshops Singapore” and “SEO Experts since 1997″. These three ads stand a very high chance for the potential buyers to click on their ad because they have gained the position advantages.

This is the normal user behaviour just like you and me. When we google something, we always click on the first few search results and lazy to stroll down. This is very common and therefore the higher the ad position, the higher the CPC Bid we should place at adwords.
In adwords, there is another important element that can help to lower the CPC bid but still gain us the higher rank number. This is the Quality Score.
Rank Number = CPC Bid x Quality Score
From the schedule, it shows that Advertiser B has higher CPC bid but his position is at No.2. Why? Because the quality score of Advertiser B is the lowest, only 1. Therefore we can clearly see that Quality Score plays an very important role in determine your ads position and in term of the cost savings.
Still remember What are the components of Quality Score? There are 3 important components:
CTR
Keyword and ad text relevance
Landing page quality
If your CTR is very good but you still need to bid higher price for your ad to show on top, perhaps you need to adjust your keywords and your landing page quality accordingly.
We have discussed about Contextual Targeting in my previous blog posts and we know there is difference between Search Targeting and Contextual Targeting. Today I would like to share with you the creating of contextual targeted campaigns.
From my handwritten note you can see that I have actually put it in summary form for easier glance and just in case you can’t see clearly, I write it again for sharing.
First, we should know that the buying cycle is:
1. Attention – draw the attention of the consumers
2. Interest – let them have interest about your product
3. Desire – increase their desire to get the product
4. Action – buy your product!
So, it is important to remember the buying cycle and apply this concept into our campaigns.
When creating the Contextually Targeted Campaigns, There are 4 main points to take note at:
1. Define Campaign Goals – create wider brand awareness, have more people consider purchasing your products and enable customer purchase your products.
2. Create Campaign in Adwords
3. Measure Performance
4. Optimize – stay on message, understand customer, track conversion on each ad group over weeks or months, test and test again.
Try the above and keep track on your performance of Contextual Targeting.
I have came across Qassia last week and have introduced this website to few of my friends. They came back to me and asked me what is Qassia and how can they be done.
Let me share with you my findings about Qassia instead of copy all the introduction and information from Qassia. From my findings, Qassia is a way to get quality backlinks, improve our blog’s traffic and earn advertising revenue.
What is Intel?
The information you submitted is referred as an Intel. You can submit your own unpublished original articles or existing content that you have published on your blog or other third-party website.
They will base on the “Qassia dollars” to determine how your website will be ranked in Qassia’s directories. That means the more Qassia dollars you have, the higher your website ranks and makes it easier for people to find it.
There are four ways to earn Qassia dollars:
Referring – When your friends sign up via your user page, you get credited once the user validates their email.
Screen Intel – Before publishing, an Intel has to be screened by 12 users. You can get $5 to $9 Qassia dollars in credit for every intel you help to screen.
Add Intel – You can also add your own intel. For every Intel you add, there will be a link to your website. So if you add more quality Intels, more quality backlinks you get and more traffic boost to your website.
Qassia Sticker – Once Qassia crawl your site and found their logo on your site, they will give you credit. They will crawl your site at least one time a month.
How to earn real money with Qassia?
Qassia will give you 100% of the advertising revenue generated by your intel page. That means they are displaying Google Adsense ads on your user page and next to your Intel using your Google Adsense account number. The more Intel you submit the more benefit you enjoy.

I’m thinking how to share about my learning of Google Adwords because after I’ve studied all the topics I really found that “All the topics are important”. You really cannot skip any sentence in the lesson, don’t mention a topic. =)
I will choose those topics that I feel we should pay more attention into it or normally people tend to ignore. One of the reason I do my own notes is I always like to have a glance of the things I learn and I always highlighted the points I feel I should pay more attention (key points for me).

Why I feel that it’s important?
We must know what google network is before we start any campaign. The consequences of ignore this will end up with losing extra money on Adwords.

From my notes, you can see that Google Network can be classified into two:
Search Network – Text Ads
Content Network – Text Ads, Image Ads, video Ads etc
The key points I’ve highlighted in my Note 1 are:
Contextual targeting matches keyword-targeted ads to pages in the Google Content Network
If you want an ad to run on the Search Network & Content Network, it is best to create2 separate campaigns – 1 structured for search and 1 structured for the contextually targeted advertising.
Why 2 separate campaigns? Please refer to my Note 2 – 4 criterias
Places where ad can appear are different.
Acceptable Ad Formats are different.
Basis (Keywords issues) of ad being shown are different.
The bidding options are different and we would like to set CPC for Search Network while CPM for Content Network.
