#1 Social media. Social media works quickly and if you have a large following on any of the social media sites, you can generate a ton of traffic to your website quickly. The key is to create attention grabbing posts that arouse curiosity, make people laugh or stir up a controversy. You want to generate click throughs to your website.

Make the most of your social networking tactics and use technology to get the job done. For example, one StumbleUpon post can be integrated with both Facebook and Twitter profiles so you’re making waves on all three social sites at once.

#2 Article marketing. Article marketing works well when you concentrate your efforts on quality article marketing sites with large audiences. One well written and informative article, rewritten a few times, and submitted to a handful of directories can generate the traffic you’re looking for. Be sure to include a bio box that includes a call to action and a link to your website to motivate click throughs.

#3 Blogging. Post on your own blog or be a guest blogger on a blog with a large number of subscribers. Like social networking, if you offer an informative, controversial or entertaining post, you’ll have people clicking through to your website like mad. Of course, if you also promote this wonderful blog post(s) via social media, you can double your traffic results.

#4 Video content. It’s amazing how quickly a video can go viral. Like print content, videos that entertain, stir up a bit of controversy or offer tremendous value cause a buzz. They’re forwarded to friends and downloaded on laptops and mobile devices around the globe. A good video can generate all the traffic you need. Again, integrate a bit of social media to promote your video, blog about it too, and you can multiply your traffic results.

#5 Partnerships. Partnering with a relevant or compatible business can work quite well to generate traffic fast. The key is to come up with a mutually beneficial agreement. Find people in your industry that are willing to work with you and help each other drive traffic. A partnership may include guest blogging on each other’s sites, swapping advertisements or even promoting one another in your ezine.

It’s possible to drive a ton of traffic to your website fast. The trick is to have a plan in place, know your audience and your goals, and take action.

1. BE A GOAL SETTER. What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to save for college education for your children? A new car? A new home? You can have whatever you want, but you must want it enough to do the things that have to be done to get it. Whatever your goal, write it down and set a target date for reaching it. Divide the time period into blocks of achievement that are reachable. Work consistently toward accomplishing each day, each week, each month what you set out to do. Goal-setting is a must in every area of life. Little is ever accomplished without definite goals.

2. BE A LIST MAKER. Each evening list all the things you want to get done the following day. That gives you an organized approach to each day. As each task is finished, mark it off your list. It is amazing how much gets done when one works with a “things-to-do” list. Also, have a notebook listing appointments, potential clients, repeat clients, and referrals, and keep it with you at all times. You will be adding to it constantly.

3. BE ENTHUSIASTIC. Enthusiasm is the high-octane “fuel” that salespeople run on. Enthusiasm generates its own energy. Energy and good health are synonymous with busy, happy people, people who are achieving.

4. RECOGNIZE THAT THE MAGIC WORD IN SALES IS “ASK.” In network marketing we don’t have to wait for business to come to us. We create our own business by asking for it. Ask for appointments, then you can do business. Ask for business, then you will close sales. Ask for referrals, then you always have a full list of potential clients. Be quietly, yet firmly aggressive.

5. EXPECT NO’S. Realize that no’s are not personal. In sales, as perhaps nowhere else, the law of averages works. Every no gets you closer to a yes. Keep track of your ratio. It will help improve your techniques. Are you getting ten no’s to one yes? Is your ratio five to one? Remember, the yes’s are your income. Also remember that “no” does not necessarily mean “no.” Often a “no” is simply a stall for more time to think. It may be a request for more information about your product or your service. What your client is actually buying is assurance. Assure here by your helpful attitude and your complete honesty, that you want what is best for her. She will most likely respect you and do business with you.

6. SCHEDULE TIME WISELY. A schedule is the roadmap by which salespeople travel. It takes the frustration out of the day. It assures that the necessary things get done and get done on time. Plan your work then work your plan.

7. BE POSITIVE IN YOUR ATTITUDE. Success in sales, as in all areas of life is 90 percent attitude and 10 percent aptitude. All of us must work at developing habits of constructive thinking. Remember, sales is one of the highest paid of all professions. Statistics show that good networkers enjoy incomes far above the average.

8. HAVE AN OFFICE AREA. Most networkers work from their own homes, but it is essential to have a place where you can work in a organized and efficient manner. An office plus a strict working schedule gives you dignity. Both are absolutely essential for efficient operation and accurate record keeping, so important to the success of any business.

9. BE INVOLVED. Most organization offer contests to stimulate production. Include winning contests as part of your business goals. Contests make your business fun as well as adding considerable dollar value to your income.

10. LEARN TO HANDLE MONEY INTELLIGENTLY. A regular nine-to-five job usually means a paycheck at the end of the second week.
Would financial security mean a lot to you? If so, ask yourself these questions:

* Am I honest?
* Do I really like people?
* Am I willing to learn?
* Am I willing to work?
* Am I capable of being my own boss?

If your answers are yes, to find a good product from the network marketing market, one that you like, one that fills the need of a lot of people, and go to work for yourself! You can turn dreams into reality.

Many books and articles are constantly being written about generating traffic to a website or blog.  Much of the advice is superb and is very usefully for traffic generation.  Most of it, however, is simply NOT for the “newbie” or someone just getting started in lead generation.

Why? You might ask.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO), viral software and other such mass-traffic techniques are somewhat specialized and are geared more toward the advance user than the beginner.  In my opinion, they should be addressed and used when you have the basics in place.  Too many beginners get so caught up in the technical aspects of the website itself that they seem to never actually start.  Don’t do it.

Many Blogs, Forums, Informational sites, Sports sites, Cooking sites etc. get thousands of visitors per day simply because they have content that their audience wishes to read about.  They are popular because of their content, not because they are able to trick the search engines into placing them near the top.

This is not any type of diatribe against SEO or other techniques, it is rather an admonition to get started on your marketing with the very basics of attracting visitors to your site.  Later on, when the basics seem like old hat to you the SEO and other techniques will make much more sense and you will be able to integrate them intelligently into your lead generation system.

The basics remain the same:

• Put up your website or blog

• Write some informative articles to put on your blog

• Publish articles on article directories

• Participate in forums and blogs

• Add more techniques as you are able

Don’t let the technical stuff keep you from marketing.  Remember, there is no magic button for marketing.  Keep making progress one step at a time until you reach your goals.

To do a online personal branding, first you must be very clear what you want to brand yourself as. In other words, who you want to become. This is a very hard to answer question especially when you are still new and have no idea what brand name you want to use. Basically it is just like when you were in primary school, your teacher asked you what is your ideal occupation when you grow up. We normally studied all and when up to a certain level only we know what is the most suitable occupation for us. Personal branding is also the same.

When you still have no idea what brand name to use, I suggest you do more study and learning. It will help you and give you a clearer mind who you want to become one day. And personal online branding will turn you from nobody to somebody if you handle it well.

So, after you have decided your brand name, it’s time for you to work. First, the most important is to have a personal blog and it should look professional. If you are too new to blogging, no rush, you can always improve from time to time. The key here is to have your brand name put under the All In One SEO plugin (Read more for All In One SEO Plugin).

Of course you should not be lazy but to consistently update posts for your blog. Other than that, you should also submit articles to different authority articles sites such as Ezinearticles, Hubpages etc. Those are the good sites that will also help to rank your brand name at the front page of Google.
